Very interested in what I read, especially that now I have something to back my reasons for not having an English accent to my English speaking, but a Maltese one pretty much:
1. Never had the need to acquire a native British accent
2. Speaking Maltese-English means that it may be clearer to the people I am around
3. Maltese-English is what I have heard around me.
(Maltese-English is referring here to speaking to English with a Maltese accent, not mixing the two)
