Every time I have visited the Museum of London I have been highly impressed. However, the lower galleries, representing Modern London, have been closed for the past three years for refurbishment. They finally opened to the public yesterday, and as we were going to go to the Barbican anyways for Peter Pan we decided to meet there earlier to peek in to the galleries and have our first view of the new exhibits.
As always, I was not let down! The modern galleries are even more interactive and well set-up than the other parts. I particularly liked the Victorian Walk exhibit, where they have built a replica of a Victorian shopping street. And the interactive places, and the Major’s coach…and and and…I liked everything really
Well done to the museum, and if you’re ever in London, I think this museum should definitely be at the top of your to-do list. After all, which other museum can tell you the history of the place you are visiting?
