Visitors Updated…

Got my first visitors in China and Russia (I think :-/)

Otherwise my map is very much overrun by dots on Europe and North America (particularly the East coast). Have also got more visitors on africa, in Morocco and Egypt, but none in Central Africa (or Central Asia).

Good to see the places of origin of visitors ever increasing

Keep on visiting!

  1. Oh my God, your map is so packed πŸ™‚ I still remember when you have got that map, was almost yesterday πŸ˜‰ .. I am an attent reader, very nice blog Ann. Good luck for your PhD too xx Pips

  2. @ Pipa – I cannot believe it actually – I don’t know how all these people are finding my blog! But it is nice :). Good luck for your PhD (and blog) too πŸ˜‰

  3. the china ones are most probably spam bots.. most of my spam originates from there.

also, just as a notice, the map might not be accurate at all, since technically since I read your blog through Google Reader, I get listed as a visitor from USA! πŸ˜‰

  4. @ Ninuhadida: HAHA – maybe that explains the US ones – but I only have some 1 hit from China, so maybe not much spam can find me? πŸ™‚
CRASH – that was my ego falling πŸ˜› – I was thinking I have become this international blogging star πŸ˜›

  5. Ah, does Google Reader really do that? Then that’s me too. XD

  6. @ Erica: thanks for lurking towards my blog πŸ˜› but…bbbb..bang! goes my ego πŸ˜› Hehe – and Ninuhadida – do you know where in the US the google reader will make you appear to be located, or all over as servers are located all over (mind my ignorance on computer stuff)?

  7. hmm, Google have thousands of servers so it’s hard to pin point, but there HQ is in California…

  8. @ Ninuhadida: LOL – so probably all those ‘oh so interested readers’ from the US are people from all over – hehe πŸ™‚

  9. Actually people who only read your post in an RSS reader (like Google Reader) will not be shown on the Cluster map. The way Clustr registers visitors is when the map image is shown and that only happens when people actually visit the site. But as ninuhadida said search engine and spam bots of different kind will register as well.
So some ego boost back to you πŸ™‚

  10. @ MCA: Thanks for the info and the ego boost πŸ™‚ BUt oh well – the number of hits I am getting somehow or other are increasing weekly on the whole, so I’m a happy girl πŸ™‚

  11. Aw Ann… mhux qed iggib dots minn Central Africa ghax m’ghandhomx internet u minn Central Asia ghax m’hemmx nies :p

You are becoming very international :p

  12. Oh, btw… you have a visitor from Hawaii :p Imagine that! In Malta, we think of Hawaii as a “very far away place”

  13. @ John: hehe πŸ˜› – and I saw the one from Hawaii – though knowing people who’ve been there doesn’t make it seem so far anymore – the world is really becoming a smaller place – not sure if that is good ro bad though :/
